One of the most remarkable jazz singers on the Polish jazz scene, her career spans over 30 years. Her voice, exceptionally expressive, dynamic and of unusual tone is perfectly matched with flawless, distinctive, class-act performances. After graduating in 1979 from the Katowice Jazz Academy she started performing with top Polish jazz bands at the major jazz festivals in Poland and abroad, winning numerous awards and prizes. Krystyna Pronko was the frequent guest of the Jazz Jamboree Festival in Warsaw, the most prestigious jazz festival in Poland, she was singing and recording with top bands and big-bands from various countries. She’s always been very creative and active artistically, constantly touring, recording, promoting new albums; she’s developed a huge, faithful, follow –up audience. She is also running her own record label PM Music. In recognition of her talent and musical achievements she has been awarded by the Polish Ministry of Culture a prestigious award 'Gloria Artis'. Her performance during the Eastern European Jazz Festival will include well known jazz standards as well as her jazzy versions of her most popular songs. The jazz audience can count on the jazz performance of the highest quality and distinction.
